Meet Jade Hopper.

Legal experience,

with a different approach.

Separation can be one of the most challenging periods of your life. Alongside the emotional adjustment, there are important decisions to make, unfamiliar processes to navigate and financial considerations that can feel overwhelming.

For many people, having a lawyer manage the process would be the ideal option. But legal representation can be expensive, and the cost of ongoing assistance may not be realistic when you're also dealing with changes to your home, income and family life.

Blue Haven Separation was created with this in mind.

It offers practical resources, guided tools and personalised support to help you navigate your separation when full legal representation isn't financially accessible. Whether you need help understanding the steps ahead, preparing correspondence, organising financial information or working out what to focus on next, Blue Haven can help you approach those tasks with greater clarity and confidence.

Blue Haven is not a law firm and does not represent you. The aim is to make practical support more accessible, while recognising that some issues will still require independent legal advice.

Why I created Blue Haven

With more than a decade of experience in the legal industry, including working as a family lawyer, I've seen how difficult separation can be and how important it is for people to feel informed and supported.

I've also seen how quickly legal fees can add up. For someone already facing financial uncertainty, the cost of having a lawyer manage every letter, conversation and procedural step can create an additional burden.

I wanted to create an option for people who might otherwise feel they have two choices: pay for legal representation they may struggle to afford, or try to navigate an unfamiliar process entirely on their own.

Blue Haven offers another path.

Through practical resources, editable templates and defined support sessions, you can access help with particular parts of your separation, at a cost you can understand before committing.

It isn't a replacement for legal representation, and it isn't intended to suggest that everyone should manage their own separation. It is an additional option for people who need practical support to help them work through the process themselves.

A different way to access support

Practical help with the steps ahead

Separation involves many tasks that can feel unfamiliar when you're going through them for the first time. Our resources and sessions help you organise information, understand general processes and work through practical next steps.

Support that fits your circumstances and budget

You can purchase a template, use a self-guided resource or book a one-off session. You choose the support you need, without automatically committing to ongoing appointments.

A more informed approach

Drawing on experience in the legal industry, Blue Haven aims to help you feel better prepared to navigate your own separation, recognise the issues that need attention and identify when further professional advice may be important.

Practical support - and knowing when you need more

Blue Haven is a separation support service, not a law firm. It does not act as your lawyer, represent you in negotiations or court proceedings, or take over the management of your matter.

Our resources and support sessions are designed to help you navigate practical tasks yourself. They do not replace independent legal advice about your rights, entitlements, settlement options or the legal consequences of a decision.

Where an issue requires advice tailored to your circumstances, seeking independent legal advice remains important.

The goal is not to suggest that you should do everything yourself. It is to help make the parts you can manage yourself feel more manageable, with appropriate professional advice where needed.

Separation is difficult enough without feeling priced out of support.

You may have hoped to have a lawyer by your side throughout the process. If that isn't financially possible, it doesn't mean you have to face every step without help.

Blue Haven was created to offer practical, accessible support to help you understand the process, prepare for what's ahead and move forward one step at a time.

You don't have to afford every service to access some support. And you don't have to have all the answers before you begin.
